Viral: Rahul Gandhi's 'Jalebi Factory' Remark Backfires in Attempt to Target Modi, Ambani, and Adani

VIRAL: Rahul Gandhi Speaks Of Setting Up 'Jalebi Factory' To Fire Poll Salvo At 'Modi ji, Ambani, Adani' - It Backfires | Times Now

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi sparked a viral moment today when he jokingly suggested turning local shops in Haryana into "jalebi factories" as part of his critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at a rally, Gandhi praised the local delicacy, claiming that Haryana’s jalebi is so delicious that it should be exported globally. He further proposed that such an initiative could provide employment by establishing "jalebi factories."

Gandhi even shared a personal moment, stating that after tasting the jalebi, he texted his sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. He read out the message during the rally: "Priyanka, I had the tastiest jalebi today and I am bringing a box for you."

He continued, asserting that not only should this "jalebi" be enjoyed across India, but it should also be exported to countries like Japan and the United States.

BJP's Response to the Remark

The remark quickly drew criticism from BJP leaders. BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad mocked Gandhi’s statement, suggesting that while Gandhi may talk about sending Gohana’s jalebi to the US, he should first learn how jalebis are actually made. "Rahul Gandhi doesn't do his homework," Prasad quipped.

The video of Gandhi’s comments quickly gained traction on social media, with many mocking the idea of producing jalebis in factories. One user humorously remarked, “As per this Jan Nayak, jalebis are made in factories.” Another sarcastically noted, "After figuring out how to make gold from potatoes, Rahul Gandhi is now planning to set up a jalebi factory and export it. Adani, Ambani, Tata, Birla, Haldiram, Bikanerwala... none of them thought of this? Jalebis are usually made fresh, on the spot, but Rahul ji has now figured out how to export them from factories and employ fifty thousand people. Warning: laughing while watching the video is prohibited."

Others expressed embarrassment, with one commenter saying, "Embarrassment to the party & the people of Haryana – when Rahul Gandhi talks about a FACTORY OF JALEBI. Look at their faces. Dear smart people of Haryana, vote this Pappu party out of Haryana."
